Backing is wood with a cardboard back. The wood shows a little bit of discoloration and marks around the edges. The cork itself is in good condition considering the age. One corner has a more organic shape rather than squared off. And a couple ares of that organic shape around the edges. Some of the wood may be missing (or a stylistic choice to have less on one side).
