Absolutely Huge Room Size Qashqai rug! Looks stunning as a centerpiece of a dining or living room. Center field colors are shades of blue and navy with large center medallions in alternating red and white. There is a nice thick and bold boarder with X design motifs and shades of red and cream seen throughout and also some nice lighter blues seen in some of the more intricate motifs.
¤ History
Qashqai tribal rugs have a boldness and directness about them, particularly in their dominant triangular center medallions and intricate boarder designs. The Qashqai confederation once spanned Centra Asia and the Causes regions before traveling to southern Persia. These geographical associations are apparent in their designs. Having been influenced by both the geometry and bold color use of Caucasian rugs with the strength and artistry from Persian rugs.

Condition: In good condition for its age, but does have some areas with small holes and old repairs. Some areas of uneven fringe on ends and loose edge. Two small holes in the rug and larger old repair that is loose - as pictured.
